They are halfway there!

Hi all- this is Eddie posting for Kelli.

Kelli & Gracie are now in PA! They have officially reached the half-way point in the journey. I spoke to Kellie just a bit ago and she sounds in good spirits. She and Gracie are healthy and they are back to doing longer days, which is between 15-20 miles. She said she is carrying most of Gracie's pack currently because of the extra miles. Kelli said her foot and leg problems have cleared and she is feeling well and making good miles. She said it still gets a bit chilly at night (I was jealous and told her of our heat wave). She is still sleeping in wools at night.

Apparently it is tradition when you make it halfway through the trail to eat a half gallon of ice cream. Kelli made a valiant attempt, assisted by Gracie, but couldn't finish the whole half gallon-- at least not in the interest of not getting both of them sick! Gracie did, however, finish ALL of a half-way hot dog!

Overall, good travels, good health and fair weather. Who could ask for more than that?
