Last year, a group of scientists got together and decided that Pluto is not a planet after all, much to the dismay of the discoverer of Pluto, who happens to be from New Mexico. Well, the New Mexico legislature recently passed a law stating that Pluto is indeed a planet when her orbit crosses the state of New Mexico. Fabulous legislative work! As one who has always been fond of the runt of the litter (being one myself) I think this is great news.
